About Me  

Hello! My name is Julia, a health-anxiety coach with an education and training in psychotherapy.
 

I didn’t choose this work from a place of having it all figured out, I chose it because I’ve lived it. 

 

For so many years, my mind felt like it was constantly scanning for the next danger. Every sensation in my body had meaning. Every “what if” spiralled into something catastrophic.  I know how exhausting it is to feel trapped in your own body, questioning whether you can trust it at all.
 

Health anxiety doesn’t just live in your thoughts, it takes over every part of your life. It steals your presence, your joy, and your sense of safety. And what made it even harder was feeling like no one truly got it.
 

I’m here for the moments when Google feels like the only place that understands. For the late-night spirals, for the constant checking, the reassurance-seeking, the “just in case” behaviours that slowly shrink your world.
 

But I’m also here to show you that something different is possible.
 

Not a life where you never feel anxiety again, but a life where it no longer controls you. A life where you can feel a sensation in your body without it meaning danger. Where your thoughts don’t dictate your reality. Where you can finally exhale.
 

My approach is grounded in both professional training and lived experience. I don’t just teach strategies, I walk alongside you as you rebuild trust in both your body and yourself.
 

You are not broken and you are not alone. And most importantly, you don’t have to keep living this way!

How I Support You 

Health anxiety can feel all-consuming, but healing doesn’t come from more reassurance, more checking, or trying to control every sensation. It comes from learning how to relate to your thoughts, your body, and uncertainty in a completely different way.

I offer 1:1 coaching designed to help you break free from the patterns that keep you stuck: the overthinking, the body-checking, the Googling, the constant need to feel “100% sure.” 

Our work may include:

  • Understanding how health anxiety operates in your mind and body

  • Reducing reassurance-seeking and compulsive checking

  • Learning how to sit with uncertainty without spiraling

  • Changing your relationship with intrusive thoughts and physical sensations

  • Nervous system regulation and grounding tools

  • Building trust in your body again​

This isn’t about forcing yourself to “just stop worrying.” It’s about creating a sense of safety within yourself even when uncertainty is still present.

Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to you. I meet you where you are, whether you’re in the middle of constant panic or quietly struggling beneath the surface. 

My Specific Approach 

My approach is rooted in the understanding that health anxiety isn’t just “overthinking”, it’s a cycle between your thoughts, body sensations, and nervous system that can feel impossible to break.

A core part of my work focuses on helping you change your relationship with anxiety, rather than trying to eliminate it.

In health anxiety, the mind often demands certainty and reassurance. The more we chase that certainty, the more stuck and fearful we feel. Our work together is aimed at shifting this pattern by teaching you how to make space for uncertainty, difficult thoughts, and uncomfortable sensations without letting them run your life. Instead of fighting your anxiety, we work on helping you respond to it differently.
